Travel day to NYC calls for a 5:15am wake up call and our travel luck quickly goes south from there.  Will we even make it to NYC?

Today is our last full day in Banff. The week has flown by and this was supposed to be our slow week! Makes we wonder what is come in places like NYC, London and Tokyo. The girls have been lobbying for going to a natural hot springs.

Justin’s big request for the week was a white-water rafting adventure down the Kicking Horse river.  Find out how the river got it’s name and whether any fell out of the raft.

Exposing the kids to the culture of places we go is a main goal of the trip so we take advantage of Indigenous people’s day.  Don’t want the kids to think indigenous people of Canada means Grizzly Adams from the tv show like I did when I was a kid.

Does it count as fishing if you don’t catch any fish?  We’re not sure if there were fish and we didn’t catch them or there were no fish to start with.

When everyone who’s been to Banff says you have to go to Lake Louisa, we should have thought twice.  We go and sure enough everyone visiting Banff appears to be here and then it starts pouring rain and hailing.

We are feeling ambitious on day 2 and hike Tunnel Mountain to enjoy the stunning beauty and views of the Canadian Rockies.
