Leanne's Story

Mom. Aunt. Non-Profit Board Member. Internet show host. School volunteer. On any given day, I wear many hats and do my best not to drop one. I’m a huge believer in education so I’ve focused much of my last 15 years on it - as a volunteer in my community, all over the country and especially within my family.

This upcoming year I will add another hat - Adventurous Global Traveling Mom/Aunt.

This year I will combine two of my favorite things - traveling and spending quality time with my family. It hasn’t been easy raising and expanding a unique family… but this year is our reward!

Yes, it’s a bit of risk taking five teenagers who are all excelling in the classroom out of traditional school for a year … however, we are confident that what we can expose them to about world cultures, history, art, music, science, tolerance and volunteer service that will more than make up for it. The world is our classroom now!

My challenge in the past 20 years - trying to successfully juggle (1) being a good husband, father, uncle, brother and son; (2) a corporate career with long hours and high demands (but very rewarding work) and (3) volunteering to give back to organizations and causes that helped me in my life journey.

More about me….

Favorite foods: Chicken Parmigiana, Mozzarella Cheese Sticks, Pizza (yes, we are definitely going to Italy :-)

Favorite past international destinations visited: Iceland, Kenya & Tanzania & Paris

Favorite Broadway musical: Les Miserables (4 of the kids were in high school production last year)

Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
