Meet Our Family
We have decided to do something different. Something adventurous or downright crazy (as some people tell us we are) and take a year off and travel the world as a family. Leanne and Kyle recently celebrated their 20th anniversary and their present to each other (and the kids) was this trip.
They live on the West Coast and have 3 biological children. John (age 16) is an aspiring Opera singer. Justin (age 14) is a candidate for Eagle Scout. Ashley (age 12 1/2) is a budding creative writer and artist. Note that we are rounding Ashley up to 13 as 5 teenagers sounds better than 4 teenagers and a 12 1/2 year old.
About 3 1/2 years ago, Kyle’s sister, Tracey, passed away unexpectedly. She was a single mother raising four children. Her oldest two are finishing up college. Her youngest two, our niece and nephew came to live with us from Alabama. Corey (age 16) is a candidate for Eagle Scout and Ashlynn (age 14) is our future chef. So our daily household expanded from 5 to 7 and expands to 9 during college breaks and holidays.
Leanne is a dedicated mom / aunt, volunteer, non-profit board member with a passion for helping others. Kyle recently wrapped up a 20 year corporate career and is ready for a new adventure.
We have been inspired us to take the leap into the unknown with this trip and we are excited to share our journey with you.
