I knew the Pace would pick up in London but we went from Canadian stroll in the park to break-neck speed mad dash all out sprint to get as much done as we could in London. Mission accomplished but it was exhausting.

Travel day from London to Edinburgh. Short flight but still a lot of time in transit.

Today is a full day bus tour outside London with stops at Windsor Castle, a Roman Bathhouse and Stonehenge.

We are a part of history today. The Yankees are playing the Redsox in the first ever MLB series in Europe. It was totally unplanned but the timing worked out great. I grew up and still am a Yankees fan. Excitement runs high as we enter the stadium until we realize we are entirely surrounded by Boston fans.

Today brings the hottest day in London in 40 years. Just my luck. I know I wanted a long summer but I didn’t want to melt on a London sidewalk. I can already see people asking Leanne how the trip was and her saying “oh it was great except that my husband melted and didn’t come back.”

Another day of walking takes us all over London to take in more or the sites and attractions.

After flying the redeye from NYC to London, we somehow get our 14 bags through the train, 2 transfers and the underground and to our Air BnB. Getting our second wind, we rally and power walk 10 miles to explore London on foot.
