Day by day summary of our time in Osaka, Kyoto and Hiroshima, Japan.

Our last day before heading to Tokyo includes a subway mishap, the Gion Festival and an amazing performance at the Kyoto Concert Hall.

Today is a powerful and moving day as we travel to Hiroshima and see and learn about the atomic bombing in August, 1945 and the impact on the city and its people.

Today’s adventure takes us to the town of Nara and their man-eating deer (ok, they don’t actual eat people but the apparently like to eat shorts) and Buddisht temple with the largest stature of Buddha in the world. This is followed by a Shinto Shrine and Bamboo Forest

After crack of dawn wake-up call, we fly from Seoul to Osaka, Japan and traverse by bus to Kyoto. The National Children’s Choir (NCC) has a cultural exchange with Kyoto Children’s choir where they sing for each other and learn how to make origami birds (their peace symbol).
